Introduction to Behaviour Based Safety

Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) is a proactive approach to workplace safety that focuses on observing and modifying behaviours to prevent accidents and injuries. It is based on the idea that most workplace incidents result from unsafe behaviours rather than unsafe conditions. BBS involves systematically identifying at-risk behaviours, providing immediate feedback, and reinforcing safe practices.

This course is a great chance to learn how to improve safety in the workplace—without committing to a full programme. It’s all about making safety a shared effort, and we will give you practical insights to get started.

As industry expectations continue to evolve, accreditations like CHAS, SMAS, and Constructionline are placing greater emphasis on behavioural safety evidence. This course enables businesses to meet those requirements.

This course is suitable for anyone who has an interest in behaviour based safety and how it can help improve organisational safety, including organisation leaders, managers and H & S professionals.
