Chris Ivey

Having begun his career as a Health, Safety and Quality Coordinator with Drake & Skull, Chris joined THSP in 1998. During his time with the company he has continued to increase his experience across all areas of construction and demolition, and has particular expertise in asbestos, curtain wall glazing, stonemasonry, scaffolding and CDM Advisory Services. Appointed Consultant Director for Health and Safety in January 2015, Chris is responsible for ensuring THSP’s team of Health and Safety consultants deliver exceptional levels of service to all our customers.
Having worked over the past five years to develop IT platforms, to speed up and simplify the day to day administration of health and safety duties, his focus now is to ‘make working safely easier than not’.

Andrew Wilson

Having previously held the positions of HR Manager and HR Director, Andrew has worked within the construction industry for over 10 years. He joined THSP in 2012 working with a wide range of industry sectors. A commercially focused lawyer he has acted directly and indirectly for employers in meeting and maintaining their employment law obligations, from the drafting of contracts of employment through to lawful dismissals.
With experience of acting as an advocate and representative in tribunal and court, Andrew has often brokered preferential settlement terms and acted as a negotiator and mediator in both litigation and consultation.

Kirsty Maynard
Commercial Director

Kirsty joined THSP in 2004 and has over 20 years’ experience delivering
exceptional services to our valued customers. Her skills and influence have resulted in 92% renewal of annual contracts. She has a strong background in service delivery, stakeholder management, process enhancements and project management. Kirsty uses this experience to deliver Behavioural Based Safety training programs.
In 2023 Kirsty joined the board of directors, overseeing service delivery, sales and marketing. Kirsty is also a proud Mental Health First Aider.

Kevin Harvey

Kevin joined THSP after a career in the Armed Forces where he managed health and safety on military construction sites in the UK and on operations.
He has extended his experience across a range of industries including manufacturing and engineering. Competent in CDM Advisory Services, face fit testing, scaffold inspection and conducting audits and site visiting.
Kevin is skilled in both assessing training requirements as well as delivering training courses including the NEBOSH, CITB and IOSH Courses.

Nicola Shea

Prior to joining THSP in 2000 Nicola worked within the public sector, international electronics and logistics sector. Since becoming HR Manager in 2007, Nicola has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of Human Resource Management including recruitment and selection, absence management, change management, employee relations and redundancies.
Nicola also delivers coaching and mentoring for all levels of management both within THSP and to our clients.

Derek Fisher
Health & Safety Consultant Manager

This is an area often overlooked – it is better to eliminate the risk through design evaluation rather than try to manage it during construction and/or building use.”
Derek joined THSP is 2004 with previous experience in manufacturing. He provides CDM Advisory Services to a wide variety of companies including attending planning and design team meetings, assisting and advising Clients, Designers and Contractors, providing health and safety risk workshops as well as the compilation of Construction Phase Plans, Pre-Construction information and project specific documentation.
Part of the Project Management Team developing and introducing into service the very successful MyTHSP Risk and COSHH Assessment Builder tools.
During his time at THSP he has carried out audits of companies’ premises and site inspections of many different types of demolition and construction works. Derek is also responsible for developing and maintaining health, safety and environmental policies, arrangements and guidance notes in line with current legislation and ongoing development of clients’ Health and Safety Policy documents. He also manages the consultant telephone support service for THSP’s retained clients.

Adrian Merrell

Adrian has over 20 years of experience in the health and safety industry and since joining THSP in 2004 he has worked widely with our construction clients, carrying out site audits and inspections. He has also produced and developed the THSP Environmental Policy Documentation which is part of our Safety, Health and Environmental service.

all levels.
